Meet Salwa!

Hello, and thanks for visiting my site!

I’m Salwa. I’m a photographer in the Twin Cities, MN area!

On Photography:

I can’t remember a time when I didn’t love being behind the camera.  What fun it is to find the beauty in the world around me (not a difficult task) and help it shine through the lens!  I love capturing the unexpected expression, the unplanned moment, the silly faces people make at each other when they think no one is looking.  My goal is to create  images that paint a vivid and colorful picture of who you are as a person. My style is fun, modern, and vibrant.  I absolutely love what I do!

Random Salwa-Facts:

• When I was eight, I didn’t get why we couldn’t just inject people with helium to make them fly, so I had my mom take me to the library for an anatomy book to figure it out.
• Sadly, I never did find a way to make that work.
• I’ve always had an obsession with flying. I’m still waiting for flying cars to come about.
• I still read voraciously, but mostly fiction these days.
• I am  also a chemist.  Molecular reactions are cool!
• I am married to the best man on the planet.
• I love adventure!  Bring on the zip-lining over treetops and rappelling down waterfalls and jumping out of airplanes!
• I’m not totally fearless; spiders and other crawlies send me flying across the room on first sight!
• I love my life pretty unabashedly.
