Do you have a studio?

Nope! I shoot exclusively on-location – in your home, in your backyard, in the park down the street, in that field you drove past that one time, downtown where brick textures run rampant, and so on. Pick any Twin Cities location that you fancy for a session – I’m there!

Do you have location suggestions?

Absolutely! Let’s discuss the style, mood, and environment you want for your photos. I can make some suggestions based on what it is you’re looking for.

What if I want to do a session outside of the Twin Cities area?

I love to travel! A travel fee will apply for sessions outside of the Twin Cities area; but just contact me for details!

What should I wear?

Something that’s YOU! There are no hard and fast rules about things you should wear or avoid wearing during your photo shoot. Wear something you feel beautiful (or dapper!) in. It’s always best to wear clothing that you feel comfortable in; you don’t want to be constantly tugging at or adjusting things. Most people say to avoid patterns, and to some degree, that’s true. Heavily patterned clothing can be distracting…but just a moderate amount of pattern never hurt anyone, so if your favorite shirt has a little something on it, go for it. Personally, I’m a fan of big, bold colors. If your child has a favorite toy, blanket, or other doodad, bring it along. Heck, if you have a favorite toy or doodad (or scarf, or hat, or umbrella, and so on), bring that along too!

Will you pose us?

Yes. Also, no. I usually like to to have a mix of posed shots and candids, especially for portrait sessions with more than one person (families, couples, etc). My goal is to capture who you are – to really bring out your personality and make it pop!  To that end, your session will be sprinkled with posed portraits, and moments when I let you relax and interact together as I snap away! If there is something specific you are looking for, don’t hesitate to let me know – this is your session, and it is completely customizable!

What if a photography permit or fee is required for the location we request?

Clients are responsible to obtain any permits and cover any fees required for the shoot, if the requested location requires it.
