B&W Friday: A New Series

I’ve decided to start a series on my blog called B&W Friday.

The idea is that on each Friday, I will post one black & white image.

Of what, you ask?

Something that made me happy that week (and I will refrain from posting weekly photos of my husband).

Something that struck me as beautiful that week (and I will refrain from posting weekly photos of my mother).

Something I found interesting, or thought-provoking, or compelling in some way.

There may or may not be words accompanying the image.

My rule for myself is that for this series, I will press the shutter button just once. No do-overs.  I want to force myself to think and compose creatively before I shoot, and get the image I want with the first (and here, only) shot.
