Happy Gobble Gobble!

I have so much to be thankful for this year, I couldn’t possibly fit it all into one blog post.  Ok, I probably could, but it would be really, really long.  Pages long.  Life stories of generations past, present, and future have been told more succinctly than this hypothetical blog post.

So I’ll limit just this what-I’m-thankful-for list to just a few of the photography-related things.  Deal?  Deal.

  • I am thankful for my amazing husband and his continued support as I delve deeper and deeper into photography.  In addition to being a photographer, I am also a full-time nerd chemist, and over the last few months I have been working long hours to turn around photos for my clients.  My husband has not just been understanding, but incredibly supportive and sweet.  I love him more than words can describe, and I am forever grateful to have him as my partner through life.
  • I am thankful for my family and friends, who don’t tune out my constant jibber-jabber about photography.  At least, I don’t think they do ;).
  • I am thankful for the sharing-is-caring nature of other photographers I’ve met and worked with this year (I’m lookin’ at you, Ashley, Erik and Jim)!  What a nice feeling it is to be part of a community of like-minded artists who are so open about sharing their opinions and knowledge!  The more I learn, the more I hope to give back like they and others like them do.
  • Not least of all, I am so very thankful for all of my clients, who have entrusted me with the responsibility of capturing an important slice of their lives.  I have truly enjoyed working with each and every one of you.  Thank you for choosing me, for appreciating my art, and for continuing to follow my work – without you, I would not be where I am today!

Ok, I simply can’t leave this post without any photos.  It looks like we’re going to have a Winter Wonderland sort of Thanksgiving this year…here are a few images taken right outside our front door this afternoon:

Happy Thanksgiving, friends!
